Three arrested for arranging jobs for illegal Bangladeshi nationals in Karnataka's Mangaluru

Mangaluru (Karnataka), Jul 14 (PTI) Three men were arrested for allegedly arranging jobs for illegal Bangladeshi nationals in the city, police said on Tuesday. A case has been registered against Moydin Islam, Rasool Islam, and Dilwar Husain, all from West Bengal, they said. According to police, preliminary investigation revealed that the accused were bringing labourers from various North Indian states to Mangaluru. They are also accused of illegally bringing Bangladeshi nationals and deploying them at various construction sites. Moydin Islam and Dilwar Husain have been arrested in Mangaluru, while Rasool Islam was arrested in Kolkata with the assistance of Kolkata Police, a senior police officer said. A team from Mangaluru City Police, coordinated by the DCP (Law and Order), has already proceeded to Kolkata to bring Rasool Islam to the city. Further interrogation is expected to reveal whether more individuals are part of the network according to the Commissioner of Police, Mangaluru City Police, Sudheer Kumar Reddy. PTI COR AMP KH
