Hyderabad, Jul 18 (PTI) Hailing the successful launch of the country's maiden private orbital rocket, Vikram-1, of city-based Skyroot Aeropsace, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday said it is a proud day for India and even greater pride for Hyderabad. Telangana is where India’s space dreams take shape, he said. "Vikram-1, India’s first privately built orbital rocket, developed by Hyderabad’s own firm @SkyrootA , has successfully lifted off from #Sriharikota. Telangana is where India’s space dreams take shape," he said in a post on 'X'. Congratulating the entire Skyroot team, he said Hyderabad’s innovation ecosystem continues to lead the nation into the future. India's first privately developed orbital rocket, Vikram-1 on Saturday successfully placed multiple technology demonstration payloads and postcards, including from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, into a low earth orbit. Dubbed 'Mission Aagaman' (meaning arrival), it marks the entry of India's private space sector into the orbital launch market, spearheaded by Skyroot Aerospace. The mission was a "grand success," the company said. PTI SJR SJR KH
