Jaipur, Jul 13 (PTI) E-commerce marketplace Snapdeal on Monday launched 'Project Gati', a 45-day programme to help newly onboarded sellers expand their business ahead of the festive shopping season, as the company's seller base in Rajasthan nearly doubled over the past year. The programme offers AI-enabled catalogue support, faster payment cycles, advertising credits, marketplace insights and priority support during the first 45 days to help sellers improve visibility and scale their operations. The platform said Rajasthan's growing seller base reflects rising participation by regional manufacturers and entrepreneurs in e-commerce. "Jaipur is a major sourcing hub for women's ethnic wear, block-printed products, jewellery, home decor, blue pottery, bedsheets, quilts and handbags. Bhilwara is known for men's trousers, suiting materials and fabrics, while Pali and Tonk contribute products such as home textiles, cotton fabrics, leather goods and embroidered items," a company official said here. He said the festive shopping season will begin in August with Raksha Bandhan and Independence Day, and continue through Diwali, Christmas and New Year. Snapdeal Chief Executive Officer Achint Setia said the company has witnessed nearly 100 per cent growth in sellers from Rajasthan over the past year. "This reflects the increasing participation of regional businesses in online commerce," he said. PTI SDA BAL BAL
