Jaipur, Jul 15 (PTI) Rajasthan Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar on Wednesday visited the Banswara district hospital and held a review meeting with officials following the deaths of four women.
Speaking to reporters, the minister said of the four women who died, one was from neighbouring Madhya Pradesh.
He said that the inquiry is underway and if any negligence is found, strict action will be taken.
The minister later inspected the labour room, operation theatre and maternity ward and interacted with officials.
He said all relevant medical records had been collected and would be examined by officials in Jaipur.
District collector, Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO), Principal Medical Officer (PMO) and doctors of the gynaecology department attended the meeting in which the minister held a discussion to assess the circumstances leading to the deaths. PTI SDA APL APL
