Ranchi, Jul 15 (PTI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Wednesday directed officials to prepare a database of all ongoing road projects in the state and ensure their geo-tagging to improve transparency and monitoring. Reviewing the functioning of the road construction department, Soren asked officials to complete projects on time without compromising on quality. "Geo-tagging the projects will increase transparency and strengthen the monitoring system," he said. The chief minister directed officials to regularly update details of all ongoing and completed road projects, saying the exercise would ensure accountability and timely execution while improving public services. Soren said he has been receiving reports of dilapidated roads, potholes, waterlogging, and irregularities in construction works through various social media platforms. "The complaints should be taken seriously, and they should be addressed promptly," the CM directed the officials. Deteriorated roads increase the risk of accidents during the rainy season. Therefore, special attention must be given to repairing potholes, ensuring proper water drainage systems, and improving the overall quality of roads, he added. PTI SAN SAN MNB
