Plots allotted in Haryana village to 27 from Himachal displaced by Bhakra Dam construction

Bilaspur (HP), Jul 8 (PTI) Plots have been allotted to 27 people who were displaced after the construction of the Bhakra Dam in Sirsa district of Haryana, a senior official said on Wednesday. The plots have been allotted in Desu Jodhan village in compliance with the orders of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The land for these allottees was acquired when the Bhakra Dam was built, submerging most of the villages in Bilaspur, said Bilaspur Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar. Any allottee wishing to object to this matter may do so within one month at the office of the deputy commissioner (Resettlement), Fatehabad, Haryana. The final allotment process will be complete after the one-month objection period is over, he said. The allottees include people from Badgaon, Kathon and Kutheda villages in Ghumarwin tehsil of Bilaspur district and from Una district. PTI COR BPL DIV DIV
