New Delhi, Jul 17 (PTI) Dr B R Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) has received more than 14,700 registrations for its undergraduate programmes for the 2026-27 academic session against 1,194 available seats, with the admission process currently underway, the university said on Friday. According to the university, admissions to its 23 undergraduate programmes began on July 1 and will continue till July 20, after which admission lists will be published. A total of 14,758 registrations have been received so far for the undergraduate courses. The university also reported a strong response to its postgraduate, doctoral and Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP), attributing the trend to growing student interest in its interdisciplinary and research-oriented academic environment. Admissions to 28 two-year master's programmes and seven one-year master's programmes commenced on May 21 through the CUET-PG admission portal. The registration process concluded on June 26 after being extended twice to facilitate greater participation. The university said it received 12,445 registrations for postgraduate admissions against 1,613 seats across its one-year and two-year master's programmes. Further rounds of seat allocation are currently underway. For its PhD programmes, AUD has received 2,455 registrations against 188 seats so far. Applications for admissions to 21 doctoral programmes opened on June 5 and will remain open till July 31. The university is also conducting admissions for its four-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) at the Lodhi Road campus. Introduced in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the programme has received 872 registrations for its two offerings, B.A. B.Ed. (Preparatory Stage) and B.A. B.Ed. (Secondary Stage), against a combined intake of 100 seats. The university said the programme integrates disciplinary knowledge with professional teacher education through a multidisciplinary and practice-oriented curriculum aimed at preparing future educators. AUD said it continues to expand its academic offerings across the humanities, social sciences, management and emerging disciplines, with an emphasis on academic rigour, experiential learning, research and field engagement.
