One held with heroin in Assam's Dibrugarh

Guwahati, Jul 18 (PTI) One person has been held with over 1 kg of heroin and Rs 14 lakh in cash in Assam's Dibrugarh district, officials said on Saturday. The operation was carried out in Naharkatia, during which two vehicles were also seized. "Another major blow to the drug network in Naharkatia. An anti-narcotics operation by @dibrugarhpolice under Tingkhong Police Station led to the seizure of 1.35 kg heroin, Rs 14.06 lakh in cash and two vehicles," the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) said in a post on X. It said one accused has also been apprehended. "HCM Dr @himantabiswa has reaffirmed that Assam's war against drugs will continue relentlessly," the CMO added. PTI SSG SSG RG
