Bhubaneswar, Jul 13 (PTI) Odisha’s Vigilance Department officers on Monday unearthed several assets disproportionate to the known sources of income of a government engineer, including a multi-storey commercial complex with 23 rooms and eight high-value plots, officials said.
Personnel of the department launched raids at seven locations on the properties of the executive engineer, Odisha Construction Corporation Ltd (OCC), Bhubaneswar, they said.
During the operation, the anti-corruption wing officers detected a four-storey commercial building with 23 rooms in Koraput town, an under-construction residential house, and eight high-value plots – five in Koraput, two in Rourkela and another in Bhubaneswar, the officials said.
Besides, gold jewellery, bank and postal deposits, and other valuable articles were found during the raid, which are under assessment, they said.
