Jammu, Jul 7 (PTI) A multi-agency mock drill was conducted on Tuesday at Ransoo, the base camp for pilgrims visiting Shiv Khori temple in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
The Jammu and Kashmir Police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the Indian Army participated in the drill to assess and enhance coordinated response capabilities in the event of any security contingency, a police spokesperson said.
He said the exercise focused on swift mobilisation of security personnel, coordinated area domination, civilian safety measures, effective communication and seamless inter-agency coordination under a simulated emergency scenario.
The drill was supervised by senior officers of the participating forces, who reviewed the response mechanism and operational preparedness of the security agencies, the spokesperson said.
He said such joint exercises form an integral part of ongoing preparedness measures aimed at strengthening coordination, improving response efficiency, and ensuring a secure environment for residents and visitors.
The participating forces reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining a high level of operational readiness and safeguarding public safety through coordinated and professional action, the spokesman said. PTI TAS TAS KSS KSS
