Bhopal, Jul 8 (PTI) The Madhya Pradesh government on Wednesday approved allocation of Rs 2,300 crore for infrastructure development and rehabilitation works in the state, an official said.
The state cabinet, at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, also approved a provision of Rs 495 crore for the continuation of the Chief Minister's Scooty Scheme until 2031, and Rs 100 crore for the Namo Green City Scheme, the official said.
As proposed by the Department of Science and Technology, the cabinet approved Rs 800 crore for the modernisation of the State Data Center, IT and disaster recovery, among other works.
Three other proposals from the same department, including the establishment and operation of the Science Park - Single Citizen Database Project and the Biotechnology Park, were approved with a provision of Rs 123 crore to continue until 2031.
A proposal to amend the ESDM Investment Promotion Policy 2023, as proposed by the Department of Science and Technology, received the cabinet's nod.
The cabinet also decided to exempt additional stamp duty on transfer documents executed under the Swamitva Yojana under the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, the official said.
Further, it finalized a bill to amend the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita.
The cabinet also approved the Madhya Pradesh Procured Wheat, Gram, Jowar, and Millet Disposal Policy, 2026, submitted by the Food and Civil Supplies Department.
As proposed by the Urban Development and Housing Department, a provision of Rs 100 crore was approved for the Namo Harit Nagar Yojana to develop urban forests in 65 urban bodies and their surrounding forest areas.
The cabinet also approved an additional allocation of Rs 202.5 crore for the rehabilitation and resettlement of flood-affected people from the Ken-Betwa Link Project, Runj Irrigation Project, and Majhgaon Irrigation Project in Panna district.
The recruitment process under the Health and Family Welfare Gazetted Services Recruitment Rules, 2022, received the cabinet's nod.
A provision of Rs 42 crore will be made for the continuation of the Legal and Defense Council System Scheme until 2031. PTI MAS KRK
