Shajapur, Jul 17 (PTI) The body of a 10-year-old boy who went missing while playing with his friends in Nandni village in Madhya Pradesh's Shajapur district was found near a dilapidated building on Friday, with police suspecting that he was murdered.
Priyansh Mewara (10) had gone missing from the village, under Kalapipaal police station limits, around 5pm on Thursday, Superintendent of Police Priyanka Shukla said.
"His family mounted a search and then filed a missing person report at Kalapipaal police station. Priyansh's body was found near a dilapidated building of the electricity board in the village itself. A mark made by a sharp-edged weapon was found on his neck, raising suspicion of murder," the SP informed.
The site where the body was found was inspected by a police team led by the SP as well as FSL experts.
A case has been registered and further probe is underway, Shukla said.
