Man shot dead in Jharkhand's Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Jul 8 (PTI) A man was shot dead in Jharkhand's Jamshedpur on Wednesday night, police said. The incident took place at Munshi Mohalla in the Mango police station area, they said. Rahul Baccha was strolling in the locality when a group of men arrived at the spot and opened fire at him before fleeing, SP (City) Lalit Meena said. Rahul was rushed to Tata Main Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Police said the exact motive behind the murder is yet to be established. However, according to the victim's associates, the killing may have stemmed from a love affair. Following the incident, family members and local residents staged a protest outside the hospital, demanding the immediate arrest of those behind the attack. Police said they are examining CCTV footage from the area to identify those behind the crime. "All possible angles, including personal enmity and the alleged love affair, are being investigated to ascertain the exact motive behind the crime," the SP said. PTI BS SOM
