Man held with 24 kg gutka in TN's Erode district

Erode (Tamil Nadu), Jul 6 (PTI) A 26-year-old man was arrested for possessing a 24 kg gutka, police said on Monday. According to Erode Town Police, when they were on patrol duty in Kongalamman Koil Street area this morning, they noticed a man, later identified as Setharam of Rajasthan, standing suspiciously. On enquiry, he admitted that he had smuggled and kept a 24 kg gutka in a shop at Bhavani main road, Erode for sale. The police arrested him, seized the contraband, and registered a case. PTI COR KH
