Jaipur, Jul 8 (PTI) Rajasthan Police's Special Operations Group (SOG) has arrested a man for allegedly appearing as a dummy candidate in the Rajasthan High Court LDC Recruitment Examination-2022, helping another candidate secure a government job, officials said on Wednesday.
The accused, Mahendra Kumar Bishnoi (30), a resident of Aakheri village in Jalore district, allegedly appeared in place of the actual candidate, Brajesh Kumar Meena, during the examination.
Additional Director General of Police Vishal Bansal said the Rajasthan High Court LDC Recruitment Examination-2022 was conducted on March 19, 2023.
According to the investigation, Mahendra appeared at an examination centre in Dausa district and took the examination on behalf of Brajesh, a resident of Tikri village in Mahuwa.
Bansal said Brajesh was subsequently selected as a lower division clerk in the Rajasthan High Court and was posted at the ACJM Court in Bari, Dholpur.
However, after the alleged impersonation came to light during the SOG investigation, he was dismissed from government service following a court order.
During interrogation, Brajesh admitted that Mahendra had appeared in the examination in his place. The investigation found that forged signatures and fabricated documents were allegedly used to secure the appointment fraudulently. PTI SDA APL APL
