Law student dies two days after being stabbed

Bengaluru, Jul 16 (PTI) A law student who was stabbed near the HAL here by the brother of a man who had proposed her, died in a private hospital here, police said on Thursday. According to police, 22-year-old Amrutha, a resident of Kodihalli, was on her way home when Surya intercepted her and stabbed her in the middle of the road. People chased Surya and after beating him up, handed him over to the police. Police have arrested Surya and his brother Dhanush, who too live in the same area where Amrutha lived. Dhanush was married and has a child. He was pestering Amrutha to marry him. When the law student learnt about his marital status, she rejected the marriage, which enraged Surya. On Monday, Surya stabbed the victim multiple times in the busy road near Hindustan Aeronautics Limited 3rd stage. She died late on Wednesday. PTI GMS GMS SA
