Kidnapped teen girl traced, reunited with parents by Latur police; hunt on for accused

Latur, Jul 10 (PTI) A 14-year-old girl who was kidnapped last week from Latur's Chakur tehsil has been reunited with her kin, police said on Friday. A case of kidnapping was registered at Chakur police station after her parents submitted a complaint that she was lured and taken away by an unidentified person on July 4, an official said. "One of the difficulties we faced in the probe was that the girl did not possess a mobile phone, so tracking her through technology was difficult. The team conducted inquiries at various locations, gathered information through local sources and used confidential inputs to trace her whereabouts on July 8," he said. Efforts are on to nab the accused in the case, the official added. PTI COR BNM
