History of Kapilvastu:

According to the ancient theories, the name ‘Shakya’ is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘śakya’, which means ‘the one who is capable’. The exact location of Kapilvastu is a bit controversial even today. Few say that it is located near Rummindei in the Terai region of Southern Nepal, about 10 km West of Lumbini while others say that it is located in Northern India.
