Heavy rainfall likely in some Rajasthan districts

Jaipur, Jul 7 (PTI) Light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms was recorded at isolated places across Rajasthan on Tuesday, the weather office said. Jaswantpura in Jalore district recorded the highest rainfall in the state at 91 mm during the period. The department has issued an orange alert (heavy to very heavy rainfall) for Banswara, Baran, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur, Jhalawar, Pratapgarh, Salumbar and Udaipur districts. No alert has been issued for Barmer and Jaisalmer districts, while the remaining districts of the state are under yellow alert for light to moderate rain. For Wednesday, an orange alert has been issued for Baran, Bundi, Jhalawar and Kota districts, while all other districts except Barmer and Jaisalmer are under yellow alert. PTI SDA DV DV
