HAL to participate in Farnborough International Airshow 2026

Bengaluru, Jul 16 (PTI) HAL on Thursday said it will participate in the Farnborough International Airshow 2026 to be held from July 20-24 at Farnborough Airfield, Hampshire, United Kingdom. The Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) delegation will be led by Ravi K, chairman and managing director, the company said in a release. HAL is the nodal agency for the India Pavilion, representing India's growing aerospace and defence ecosystem along with other Indian defence organisations and industry partners. HAL will host high-level business meetings, strategic engagements and customer interactions during the show, it said. "HAL has successfully represented India's aerospace capabilities at the Farnborough International AirShow over the years, enabling sustained engagement with global OEMs, suppliers, customers, and government stakeholders, enhancing the company's international visibility and supporting strategic business initiatives. At this edition, we are showcasing Indian expertise and our willingness to collaborate on co-development," Ravi said. "We aim to play a key role in addressing critical supply chain challenges while advancing India's defence export ambitions and strengthening the country's position as a trusted global defence manufacturing hub," he added. HAL said it is looking to deepen its cooperation with global leaders such as GE Aerospace, Eaton Aerospace, Honeywell, Safran, Martin-Baker, UK, and MBDA for strategic engagement and potential collaboration on future business in aircraft systems, aero engines, avionics, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), and high-technology manufacturing during the show. The company will showcase its indigenous programmes and display scaled models of LCA Tejas aircraft, Prachand Light Combat Helicopter, Advanced Light Helicopter 'Rudra', Dhruv NG helicopter and Light Utility Helicopter (LUH). Interactive kiosks and digital screens with 360-degree floating visualisation of HAL platforms, assemblies and sub-assemblies will be on display for the first time, it said. PTI KSU KH
