Ghazipur (UP), Jul 9 (PTI) After a four-year-old boy, missing since July 6, was found dead by the roadside in his village here on Thursday, police detained the child's grandmother, alleging she was attempting to leave the area, officials said. Police said she is being questioned, and they are probing all angles after the victim's father, Jamwant Kushwaha, a Godi Khas village resident, claimed there was an ongoing family dispute involving his mother. Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Atul Kumar Sonkar said the victim, Siddharth's father, lodged a missing person complaint at Bhanwarkol police station on July 6. Following this, police registered an FIR and launched a search for the child. "During the search, police recovered the child's mutilated body from the roadside in the village. The body has been sent for a post-mortem," Sonkar said. PTI COR ABN SMV ASD
