The case pertains to the death of 28-year-old Shiva, who died while cleaning a sewer near Gejha village under Phase-2 police station area on July 14.
According to the FIR, based on a complaint by the deceased's brother Dharmendra Kumar, Shiva was deployed to clean a nearly 30-foot-deep sewer line around 4.30 pm.
The complaint alleged that Shiva was made to enter the sewer without being provided any safety equipment.
He further claimed neither a supervisor nor any official was present at the site during the operation, and alleged that the death occurred due to gross negligence and violation of mandatory safety norms.
The complainant held the contractor and the Noida Authority responsible for the incident.

Further legal action will be taken based on the evidence that emerges during the probe, they added.
