Efforts on to ensure compensation, job for kin of man killed in tree fall: Thane corporator

Thane, Jul 10 (PTI) Leaders from the ruling Shiv Sena have promised assistance to the kin of a man who died in a tree-fall incident, saying efforts are being made to grant financial compensation to them and a job to the victim’s legal heir. Pandurang Bhuvad (64) suffered severe injuries on July 6 when a tree fell on him and died on Thursday during treatment. Local corporators Vikas Repale and Namrata Bhosle-Jadhav had rushed him to the hospital after the accident. Repale said Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has directed the Thane civic body to extend help to Bhavad’s family. He said a resolution will be passed at the upcoming general body meeting of the civic body to grant financial help to the Bhuvad family and a municipal job for his legal heir. PTI COR NR
