Delhi: 2 brothers attacked with knives, sticks in Malviya Nagar; one arrested

New Delhi, Jul 10 (PTI) Two brothers were allegedly attacked by a group armed with knives and sticks in the Hauz Rani area of south Delhi's Malviya Nagar, police sources said on Friday. Preliminary investigation has suggested that the violence stemmed from a matrimonial dispute between two families. According to police, the incident took place on Thursday night when Md Zuber allegedly encountered the brother of his estranged wife, Rubana, near the F-Block Market in Malviya Nagar, while returning from a gym. An argument broke out over previous disputes, following which members of both families got involved in the altercation. The two brothers sustained injuries to the head and limbs and were taken to a hospital, where they were treated and later discharged, police said. Police said an FIR was registered at Malviya Nagar police station on Friday based on the complaint. Md Zuber has been arrested in connection with the case, while further investigation is underway.
