Brake failure causes bus to crash into shop in Thane district; no injuries

Thane, Jul 15 (PTI) A private bus crashed into a shop after its driver lost control of the vehicle due to brake failure in Maharashtra’s Thane district on Wednesday, said officials. Nobody was injured in the accident that occurred in the Titwala area on Tuesday, they said. According to local authorities, the bus was travelling along the Late Anand Dighe Marg when its brakes failed. The driver attempted to control the vehicle, but it veered off the road and crashed into a shop located adjacent to the Shubham Diagnostic Centre. While the impact caused significant structural damage to the shop, no one was present in the immediate vicinity or inside the shop at the time, they said.
