BJP gears up for party president Nitin Nabin's maiden Jammu visit

Jammu, Jul 5 (PTI) Ahead of BJP president Nitin Nabin's maiden two-day visit to Jammu on Monday, the party has held a series of review meetings here to fine-tune the arrangements for his engagements, which include separate interactions with senior leaders, elected representatives and party office-bearers. Nabin is scheduled to address a gathering at Mishriwala, besides interacting with youth activists at the Convention Centre here during his tour, Jammu and Kashmir BJP chief Sat Sharma said. The BJP president will also pay floral tributes to Bharatiya Jana Sangh leaders Shyama Prasad Mookerjee and Prem Nath Dogra, Sharma, who chaired the series of organisational meetings to finalise the arrangements, said. Describing the visit as a landmark occasion for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Sharma directed the entire organisational machinery to ensure that it emerges as a historic display of the party's discipline, unity and grassroots strength. "The visit of our national president will energise every activist and further strengthen the BJP's organisational foundation in Jammu and Kashmir. Every worker must contribute to make this visit a memorable and historic event that reflects the BJP's unwavering commitment to nationalism, good governance and public service," Sharma said. Meanwhile, a deputation of the Bihari Samaj met Sharma and sought an opportunity to felicitate Nabin during his Jammu visit. PTI TAS RC
