Auto-rickshaw driver killed after BMTC bus hits vehicle

Bengaluru, Jul 18 (PTI) A 60-year-old auto-rickshaw driver died after his vehicle was allegedly hit by a BMTC bus here on Saturday afternoon, police said. The deceased was identified as Krishnamurthy, a resident of K R Puram, they said. According to police, the accident occurred on Sheshadri Road near KR Circle here. The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation bus, which was travelling from the Majestic side, was allegedly speeding when the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle and rammed into the auto-rickshaw, killing its driver. A case has been registered in this regard, police said, adding that the exact sequence of events leading to the accident was being ascertained. Further investigation is underway. PTI AMP SSK
