Evian-Les-Bains (France), Jul 12 (PTI) Indian golfer Aditi Ashok carded a 2-under 69 to make a marginal improvement over her first two rounds and move into a tie for 33rd place with one round remaining at the USD 9.1 million Evian Championship here.
Aditi, who shot identical 70s in the opening two rounds on the par-71 course, is competing in her 38th Major.
The talking point of the day was South Korea’s Haeran Ryu, who produced a stunning performance in the third round, firing a course-record 60 (11-under) to storm into a three-shot lead at the 54-hole stage.
Aditi, who has featured in the most Majors by any Indian golfer -- male or female -- with 38 appearances, made four birdies against two bogeys, with her gains and setbacks evenly split across the front and back nine.
She picked up birdies on the second and seventh holes while dropping a shot on the fourth. On the back nine, she birdied the 12th and 16th holes, with a bogey on the 14th. PTI Cor AM AM AM
