2 held for 'assaulting' boy on suspicion of theft in Bengal's Uttar Dinajpur

Raiganj (WB), Jul 12 (PTI) Two persons were arrested for allegedly assaulting a 10-year old boy on the suspicion of stealing their goods in Uttar Dinajpur district's Raiganj, an official said on Sunday. The accused – aged 35 and 28 – were apprehended from Thari Suryabad area under Raiganj police station limits based on a complaint filed by the minor’s mother, he said. The incident took place on Saturday. The mother of the child claimed in the complaint that she was also assaulted when she tried to save her son, the official said. The duo will soon be produced before the Raiganj court, he added. PTI AMR RBT
