Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin (SBM-G) — Household Toilet Incentive
SBM-G provides Rs 12,000 incentive to BPL/APL rural households to construct own toilet, along with behaviour change campaigns to end open defecation.

What you get
Rs 12,000 incentive per household toilet (Rs 7,200 central + Rs 4,800 state share). Includes toilet superstructure, septic tank or twin pit. SBM-G Phase II targets solid-liquid waste management beyond toilet construction. Gram Panchayats declared ODF+ for water, hand washing, waste management.
Who can apply
BPL households, SC/ST, small/marginal farmers, and APL households from other weaker sections without toilet.
For: Rural BPL and SC/ST households without individual toilet
- Apply at Gram Panchayat
- Toilet must be constructed and geo-tagged before incentive
- Open defecation must stop
