पुरीः 16 जुलै ( पीटीआय ) ओडिशाच्या पुरी येथे गुरुवारी रथयात्रा सोहळ्यादरम्यान तात्पुरत्या गर्दीत एका व्यक्तीचा मृत्यू झाला आणि अनेक जण आजारी पडले, असे अधिकृत सूत्रांनी सांगितले.
एका असंबंधित घटनेत आणखी एका व्यक्तीचा हृदयविकाराच्या झटक्याने मृत्यू झाला, असे त्यांनी सांगितले.
समुद्रकिनाऱ्यावरील मंदिर शहरातील वार्षिक रथयात्रा उत्सवात लाखो भाविक सहभागी झाले. भगवान बलभद्र देवी सुभद्रा आणि भगवान जगन्नाथ या भावंडांच्या औपचारिक मिरवणुकीचा'पहाडी'विधी सध्या सुरू आहे.
