What you get
PMAY-G provides Rs 1.20 lakh (plain areas) or Rs 1.30 lakh (hilly/difficult areas) to BPL families to build a pucca (permanent) house with toilet, LPG connection, electricity, and water supply. The house must meet minimum area (25 sq metres), including a designated cooking area. Assistance paid in three instalments directly to the beneficiary's bank account (20% on foundation completion, 40% on lintel level, 40% on completion). Eligible families identified through Socio Economic Caste Census (SECC 2011) and prioritised: SC/ST, manual scavengers, widows/single women, PWD.
Who can apply
Rural BPL households listed in SECC 2011 data living in kutcha/dilapidated house (no pucca house). Priority: SC/ST, freed bonded labourers, minorities, women-headed households, physically disabled, widows. Annual income limit: Rs 3 lakh.
