Nuh district's Mewat belt, historically underdeveloped in agricultural infrastructure, has seen significant expansion in potato and vegetable cultivation under the MGNREGA-supported irrigation infrastructure programme that has connected Aravalli watershed areas to tube-well irrigation. Meo Muslim small farmers in Nuh now grow potato, onion, and cauliflower for the Delhi NCR vegetable market, achieving income levels that have reduced migration. The Mewat Development Agency's farmer producer organisation programme in Nuh links vegetable growers to collective marketing, reducing intermediary margins and connecting smallholders directly to wholesale buyers.
