Man battling serious stomach ailment ends life in MY Hospital in Indore
Indore, Apr 21 (PTI) A man suffering from a serious stomach ailment allegedly committed suicide at the government Maharaja Yashwantrao Hospital (MYH) in Indore in Madhya Pradesh on Monday, officials said.
Mahesh Laxman Singh (32), a resident of Sonkatch town in neighbouring Dewas district, hanged himself from a tree on the hospital premises, MYH superintendent Dr Ashok Yadav told PTI.
“Singh had a serious stomach ailment and was operated upon at our hospital on March 25 after which he was discharged. He was not currently admitted to our hospital,” Yadav said.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Tushar Singh said the reason for Singh’s suicide was not clear yet.
“We have learnt from Singh’s family that he was upset about his ailment. Post mortem has been conducted. Further probe is underway,” the ACP informed. PTI HWP MAS BNM
