Rohtak Mustard Oil Crop Cold Press
Contributed by Swadesi Editorial Team
Rohtak district's rabi season mustard crop covers thousands of hectares with Varuna and RH-30 varieties that paint the landscape yellow in January, and village ghani cold-press units extract mustard oil during the February-March harvest period. Rohtak mustard oil is a primary cooking fat in Haryana's rural households, used for tadka seasoning, bajra roti accompaniment, and pickling. Village-level expeller units in Rohtak and Maham process oil for local consumption, and progressive small enterprises are packaging cold-pressed Rohtak mustard oil in branded bottles for the premium health food market in Delhi NCR.
