Contributed by Swadesi Editorial Team

Jamnagar district is India's brass parts manufacturing capital — the Jamnagar brass parts cluster produces 70% of India's brass components (nuts, bolts, connectors, fittings) for automotive, electrical, and plumbing applications, employing 100,000+ workers in thousands of small and medium foundries and machining units. Jamnagar is also the site of the Reliance Industries Jamnagar Refinery — the world's largest single-location oil refinery (1.24 million barrels/day), producing 35% of India's petroleum products. The Marine National Park in the Gulf of Kutch (Jamnagar's coastline) is India's first marine national park protecting coral reefs, mangroves, and marine turtles.
