Nizamate Persian Architecture Heritage of Nizamabad Bodhan

Nizamabad's Bodhan area contains monuments from the Bahmani Sultanate and later Nizam of Hyderabad periods, reflecting the Persian-influenced Deccan architecture. The Nizamabad Fort's bastions show compact Bahmani military architecture. Several dargahs in Nizamabad display Persian tile work and muqarnas (stalactite vaulting) in a style brought by Persian craftsmen patronised by the Bahmanis. The blend of Persian, Bijapur, and Telugu architectural vocabularies creates a distinctive regional style unique to the Hyderabad Deccan zone.
