New Delhi, On the occasion of Indian Army Day, both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu paid tribute to the armed forces for their unwavering commitment and valor in safeguarding the nation. The annual celebration, held on January 15, marks the day when General K.M. Cariappa took over as the first Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army in 1949.
