Important cases heard by the Supreme Court on Tuesday, April 15: * The SC observed that the State has to be fair as it rapped the Uttar Pradesh and Delhi governments over delay in constituting a medical board to examine the condition of the mother of Vikas Yadav, who is serving jail term in the Nitish Katara case.

* The SC extended till April 21 the protection from arrest granted to former IAS probationer Puja Khedkar, accused of cheating and wrongly availing OBC and disability quota benefits in the civil services examination.
