Hisar Cotton Ginning Textile Haryana Hub

Hisar is Haryana's primary cotton ginning and processing hub, with large ginning factories in the industrial area separating raw Bt-cotton lint from seeds for supply to spinning mills in Panipat, Ludhiana, and Coimbatore. Hisar mandi receives cotton arrivals from Bhiwani, Sirsa, and Fatehabad districts and serves as the price discovery centre for Haryana cotton. The district's cotton seed oil extraction units produce cottonseed oil for cooking and the de-oiled seed cake is a major protein source for Hisar's substantial cattle and buffalo feedlot sector.
