Government Launches New Aadhaar App revolutionising Digital Identity Access

Must read

The Government of India has launched a new Aadhaar mobile app featuring Face ID authentication and QR code scanning, aiming to revolutionize digital identity verification. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw tweeted that the app allows users to securely verify their identity as seamlessly as they make UPI payments. It integrates artificial intelligence with digital public infrastructure to promote secure and inclusive digital services.

Eliminate the Need for Physical Aadhaar Photocopies

The new Aadhaar app removes the need to carry or share printed Aadhaar copies in public places such as hotels, airports, and shops. In the past, giving out photocopies posed a risk of data misuse. Currently, digital verification is possible through the app by scanning a QR code. This makes the process faster and protects data from being leaked or stolen. It gives users a safer and more convenient way to prove their identity.

A key feature of the app is its privacy-first design. The app does not share any Aadhaar information unless the user gives clear permission. This means you stay in control of your personal data at all times. The shared data is tamper-proof, which means it cannot be changed, faked, or misused. This feature helps prevent identity theft and builds trust in the digital system. The app follows strict security rules to make sure your information stays safe.

Integrate Aadhaar with AI and Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI)

In addition, the government plans to link Aadhaar with Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve public services. This initiative will make digital systems smarter and more efficient. For example, AI could help detect fraud, speed up verification, or personalize services based on user needs. This objective also includes inviting feedback from experts to ensure that while AI is used to improve systems, the privacy and rights of users are always protected.

Use Face ID and QR Code for Fast, Secure Verification

The app uses new technology such as Face ID and QR code scanning, making verification as simple as using UPI for payments. Users don’t need to carry cards or remember passwords—just scan your face or a QR code to confirm your identity. This technology ensures that the process is quick, easy, and highly secure. It makes Aadhaar verification more modern and easier, especially in a growing digital India.

In conclusion, this plan aims to improve how people prove their identity by making it more private and as easy as using UPI for payments. As India’s digital systems grow, more user-friendly launches like this ensure that technology is easy to use and protects individuals’ rights.
