This huge spike in searches shows Indians are increasingly keen to go abroad and explore different experiences. Interest in domestic tourism has been boosted by other cities like Manali and Jaipur, in addition to Goa.
The Ministry of Tourism’s latest statistics confirm the trend towards domestic tourism, which has risen by 15% in 2024 as compared to the previous year. Additionally, Government-led initiatives to enhance infrastructure and encourage local tourism have been instrumental in driving the upward trend.
