Palakkad (Kerala), Apr 19 (PTI) Four people have suffered minor injuries during a fireworks accident at a temple festival in this district, police said on Saturday.

Police registerd a case against the temple authorities under Section 288 (negligent conduct with respect to explosive substances) of the BNS and sections of the Explosive Act.

The accident occurred during the fireworks display organised as part of the annual “Vishu vela” celebrations at Perumkulangara temple under Kottayi Police Station limit on Friday night, they said.

“Four persons including women suffered minor injuries in the melee,” a police officer said.

Senior officials visited the accident site on Saturday morning to collect details.

No one has been arrested so far in the case and an investigation in going on, police added. PTI LGK ADB
