Tribal Bead Jewellery — Mayurbhanj's Adivasi Ornament Craft

Santali and Munda tribal communities of Mayurbhanj, Odisha, create elaborate bead jewellery — necklaces, hair ornaments, and anklets — using glass beads, metal, seeds, and shells in colours carrying ritual significance. Red beads denote marriage; white denotes mourning. Women artisans string these by hand using traditional patterns passed through oral lineages.
