Lotha Naga Shawl — Wokha's Warrior Textile

The Lotha Naga community of Wokha district, Nagaland, weaves distinctive shawls on back-strap looms using hand-spun cotton dyed in bold horizontal bands of red, black, and white. Each shawl pattern carries clan identity and status — certain designs are reserved for warriors or elders. These textiles are now recognised under GI for Naga handloom products.
