Pilgrims are advised not to rely on any third-party agents or unofficial websites, as only IRCTC is authorized to manage ticketing for the helicopter services to Kedarnath.

Mandatory Yatra Registration Before Booking
Before booking helicopter tickets, it is compulsory to register for the Chardham Yatra on the Uttarakhand Government’s official portal at registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in. Upon successful registration, each devotee receives a unique Yatra Registration Number, which must be entered during the helicopter booking process. Without this number, bookings will not be processed.
Helicopter Service Schedule and Fare Details
The Kedarnath Temple is scheduled to open for pilgrims on May 2, 2025. Helicopter services will operate from May 2 to May 31, 2025. Three helipads are in use for these services:
From Guptkashi: Fare is ₹7,740 per person (round trip)
From Phata: Fare is ₹5,500 per person (round trip)
From Sersi: Fare is ₹5,498 per person (round trip)
These prices are fixed and passengers are advised not to pay more than the specified fare.
Booking Rules and Documentation
A maximum of six passengers can be booked under a single IRCTC user ID. For larger groups, multiple user IDs must be used. Each passenger must carry a printed copy of their ticket and the ID used at the time of booking. Soft copies or digital screenshots will not be accepted at the helipads.

The authorities have warned pilgrims against booking through any unverified portals or agents. Many fake websites claim to offer helicopter tickets for Kedarnath but are not authorized by the government or IRCTC. Booking through these channels could lead to financial fraud or loss of travel opportunities.
