His visit underscored the government’s commitment to inclusive growth, infrastructure, and economic development.

Day 1: Focus on Investment and Healthcare in Madhya Pradesh

PM Modi began his tour in Madhya Pradesh, where he laid the foundation stone for the Bageshwar Dham Medical and Science Research Institute in Chhatarpur district. This state-of-the-art cancer hospital, with an investment of over ₹200 crore, aims to provide free treatment for underprivileged patients. The hospital will be equipped with modern medical technologies and research facilities to improve cancer treatment in central India.

Later in the day, he inaugurated the Global Investors Summit (GIS) 2025 in Bhopal. The two-day event, featuring participation from over 60 countries and 300 industry leaders, aimed to attract global investment to Madhya Pradesh. Key exhibitions at the summit included the Auto Show, Textile and Fashion Expo, and the One District-One Product (ODOP) Village, all of which highlighted the state’s industrial capabilities and local craftsmanship. The summit focused on sectors such as pharmaceuticals, transport, tourism, and MSMEs, positioning Madhya Pradesh as a hub for global investors.

Additionally, PM Modi addressed a gathering of entrepreneurs and business leaders, emphasizing the government’s efforts in creating a business-friendly environment through policy reforms, tax benefits, and infrastructure upgrades. The summit saw the signing of several MoUs, ensuring investments worth thousands of crores in the state.

Day 2: Empowering Farmers and Strengthening Infrastructure in Bihar

On February 24, PM Modi traveled to Bhagalpur, Bihar, where he released the 19th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme. The financial assistance, totaling over ₹21,500 crore, was directly transferred to the bank accounts of more than 9.7 crore farmers, reaffirming the government’s commitment to agricultural welfare. The PM-KISAN scheme has been a major contributor to supporting small and marginal farmers, enabling them to meet their agricultural expenses.

Additionally, the Prime Minister inaugurated the Centre of Excellence for Indigenous Breeds in Motihari, which will advance modern cattle breeding techniques and help dairy farmers enhance productivity. Another major highlight of the visit was the launch of the Milk Product Plant in Barauni, aimed at strengthening Bihar’s dairy industry and benefiting nearly 3 lakh milk producers. The plant will help improve milk processing capabilities and promote dairy-based employment.

Infrastructure development was also a key focus, with PM Modi inaugurating the doubling of the Warisaliganj–Nawada–Tilaiya railway section and the Ismailpur–Rafiganj Road Over Bridge. These projects, worth over ₹526 crore, are expected to improve transportation and boost regional economic growth. Additionally, PM Modi announced the development of smart irrigation systems and modern cold storage facilities to support farmers and agribusinesses in the state.

During his speech in Bhagalpur, PM Modi emphasized the government’s mission of doubling farmers’ income and ensuring access to better market facilities, technological support, and financial assistance. His visit to Bihar also included an interactive session with rural entrepreneurs and self-help groups to discuss sustainable agricultural practices.

Day 3: Cultural and Economic Boost in Assam

On the final day of his tour, PM Modi reached Guwahati, Assam, where he participated in the Jhumoir Binandini (Mega Jhumoir) 2025 cultural festival. The event, featuring 8,000 performers, celebrated the 200-year legacy of Assam’s tea industry and the cultural heritage of its Tea Tribe and Adivasi communities. The festival showcased Assam’s rich folk traditions, dance forms, and artisanal products, promoting local artists and craftsmen.

Later, PM Modi inaugurated the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit 2025, which aimed to position Assam as a major investment destination in the Northeast. The two-day summit featured ministerial sessions, thematic discussions, and an exhibition showcasing Assam’s growing industrial landscape. With over 240 exhibitors and international business leaders in attendance, the event highlighted Assam’s potential in infrastructure, trade, and manufacturing.

PM Modi also announced a special economic package for Assam, which includes funding for road and railway connectivity projects, modernization of river ports, and the expansion of Guwahati Airport. These initiatives are expected to facilitate trade and boost tourism in the region.

Moreover, the Prime Minister launched Assam’s first-ever Digital Agriculture Initiative, designed to provide real-time weather updates, precision farming tools, and AI-powered crop advisory services to local farmers. This initiative aligns with the government’s vision of promoting smart farming and sustainable agricultural practices in the Northeast.

PM Modi’s three-day visit to Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and Assam reinforced the government’s focus on economic development, agricultural welfare, healthcare, and cultural preservation. By launching key initiatives and attracting global investments, the visit underscored India’s commitment to inclusive growth and regional progress.

These developments are expected to generate employment, boost infrastructure, and enhance the overall socio-economic landscape of the states. The visit not only strengthened investor confidence but also brought forward new opportunities for farmers, entrepreneurs, and cultural artisans across the nation. PM Modi’s continued efforts towards regional development and economic empowerment reflect the government’s dedication to fostering sustainable growth and prosperity.
