Apple is set to make 2025 another milestone year, with a slew of new product launches expected, according to reports from various industry sources. After an eventful 2024, which saw major product updates including a revamped iPad lineup, new Macs, and the iPhone 16 series, Apple is expected to build on its momentum in 2025 with a range of exciting releases.
iPhone 17 Series
The iPhone 17 lineup is set to be one of the key highlights of Apple’s 2025 lineup. Expected to debut in the fall, the entry-level iPhone 17 models, including the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air, are expected to feature the new Apple A19 chip. The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are also expected to undergo significant redesigns. Reports suggest Apple will debut the Apple A19 Pro chip in these models, with potential upgrades in RAM and possibly a smaller Dynamic Island for a more refined user experience.
Apple Watch Ultra 3 and Apple Watch SE 3
After skipping the Apple Watch Ultra 3 in 2024, Apple is expected to unveil the next-generation Ultra model in 2025. The Apple Watch Ultra 3 is anticipated to offer a host of new features, alongside the typical durability and premium design that characterize the Ultra series. In addition, Apple is expected to introduce the Apple Watch SE 3, an affordable alternative that will serve as the entry-level model in the Apple Watch family.
iPad and MacBook Updates
The iPad lineup will see the release of the 11th-generation iPad in 2025. After a major iPad refresh in 2024, Apple skipped the iPad 11 last year, leaving it to debut alongside other new models in 2025. It is expected to integrate advanced Apple AI features, making it one of the most capable tablets in its class.
The iPad Air, currently running on the M2 chipset, could make the jump directly to the M4 chip in 2025, skipping the M3 generation entirely. Meanwhile, the iPad Pro lineup is expected to receive the M5 chip later in the year, continuing its trend of performance upgrades.
On the laptop front, the MacBook Air could also get a significant update with the M4 chipset. Having already received the M2 chip in 2023, the MacBook Air will likely move to Apple’s M4 processor in 2025, improving speed and energy efficiency. On the more powerful MacBook Pro side, Apple is expected to launch models with the M5 chip, offering substantial performance improvements over the current M4 models.
Apple is expected to refresh the Mac Studio lineup in 2025, with the Mac Studio M4 bringing the latest chip upgrade to the popular desktop. Additionally, Apple may debut AirTag 2, the next generation of its tracking device. Although the first AirTag was launched in 2021, reports indicate that Apple is ready to release an updated version with enhanced features in 2025.
New Smart Display and Other Accessories
In the smart home space, Apple is reportedly working on a new smart display that could serve as a central hub for controlling various connected devices. Expected to integrate with Apple HomeKit, this display could be wall-mounted, offering users a more versatile way to manage their smart home.
Additionally, Apple is believed to be preparing several other accessory launches, such as a new iteration of the AirPods, and a possible update to the Apple TV.
2025: A Year of Innovation
From AI-enhanced iPads to powerful Macs and health-focused Apple Watches, 2025 promises to be a year of innovation for Apple. The company is clearly poised to expand its ecosystem further with more powerful devices and new categories. Whether it’s the cutting-edge features of the iPhone 17 Pro or the long-awaited updates to the iPad and MacBook families, Apple’s 2025 lineup is shaping up to be one of the most exciting in recent years.
